You are the account owner
You are transferring a TFSA, RRSP, spousal RRSP, RRIF, spousal RRIF or individual investment account
You are transferring your investments all in-cash, all in-kind, or partially or mixed (up to 3 items)
Note: This option is not available for Powers of Attorney (POA), Limited Trading Authorization (LTA) or Corporate Trading Authority (CTA)
You can also link a bank account from another financial institution. Complete the Electronic Funds Transfer form located in the Forms Centre Opens in a dialog.. Print and sign the form, and attach a void cheque or a bank statement. Mail the documents to the address on the form, or drop them off at your local CIBC Banking Centre.

A stock or bond certificate is a physical certificate issued by a company. A Direct Registration System (DRS) statement is issued by the transfer agent. Both represent the number of securities you own in the company.
To deposit certificates or a DRS to your CIBC Investor’s Edge account, bring them to a local CIBC banking centre. They’ll send the certificate or DRS, along with the appropriate forms, to CIBC Investor’s Edge for deposit.

Any time a conversion of currency occurs, CIBC Investor’s Edge, or an affiliate of CIBC Investor’s Edge, will act as principal with you in converting the currency at rates established or determined by CIBC Investor’s Edge, or parties related to CIBC Investor’s Edge. In performing this function, CIBC Investor’s Edge, and the parties related to CIBC Investor’s Edge, may earn spread-based revenue (“Spread”). The Spread is based on the difference between the applicable bid and ask rates for the currency, as well as the rate at which the rate is offset either internally, with a related third party, or the market. The rates at which currency is bought and sold by CIBC Investor’s Edge or its affiliates are determined in their sole discretion, without having to obtain rates that limit the Spread. The foreign currency conversion rate and the Spread will depend on market fluctuations, as well as the amount, date and type of foreign currency transaction.
